I think bigger icons (not inevitably udge size) would make sense for the first song (first similar cover) of each album in the playlist. All
the other songs of the albums can display the tiny icon or even the song length.
So, yes Audiosoft, I would like to skin the image size of the first song of each album; and also the size of the upnext album image (for when we are
in autoplay mode), if possible.
PS: I don't know what you call "first unique album icon"?

A Playlist improvement suggestion..
Audiosoft,
I've just made a quick mock-up of how could look the playlist with "large" icons in a near future. I've added the album names! We could also add
total time for each.. But maybe it's too complicated, we can start more simply. The most important to my eyes is to have a large icon for each album,
in order to rhythm the playlist! And I would not be against to be able to enlarge a bit more the album arts in the skin..
So in fact I think the best would be that you can add a "Album Header" displayed for each album in the playlist.
Thanks!

Beta 40
Your new transitions are looking great, Audiosoft. It's like pages you slide. I don't know how you make that, but it's a fine effect!
Is it a flash animation?

Glad you like the transition animations Pirk! It's not Flash just my invention!
5 Beta 41 is up with a new Vista compatible ripper based on lame encoder!
Please test it out and let me know if there are any problems.
You might need to restart Vista once after installing to get the new Ripper to start working. Let me know if you do.
Full and Upgrade installer links are in the first post.

CD Ripper crashes EJ when using options/update databse/ripCD and doesn't open the CD ripper at all when choosing the option from the tools menu. Also
when I downloaded the Update and instal wanted to reset up database, should this happen?

VWBUG no that should not happen. Are you on Vista? Did you upgrade to Program Files\eJukebox\ folder? If yes download and run the 4.99.42 full
install to C:\eJukebox\. Then Restart and see what happens. It should work good from there and the next time you run an upgrade it should go
smoothly.

make EJ compatible regardless of that IE7 setting!

Ok Audiosoft, I've reinitialized my IE7 security settings and eJ beta 45 seems to continue to work. Perfect!
So now it would just need you find a installer without the "msdart.dll" error.. for the new users.

Non-compliant, and still very much beta
Your full installer routine installs by default to C:\eJukebox. This is non Microsoft Windows Logo compliant. Should either be C:\Program Files or
C:\Program Files (x86).
Installation also produced a msdart.dll error message on my new build machine which I seem to remember from another post is not important - not
exactly slick though!
No uninstall option in Programs and Features - oh and the uninstall executable on the program folder leaves more files and settings behined than it
actually removes... why should anyone want to uninstall this beta you ask?

While a change here would be required, this is easily remedied by using the %PROGRAMFILES% variable.
That will determine where 'Program Files' exists even if it is a non-standard directory.

Full installation routine issues
The %ProgramFiles% system environment variable is the WRONG variable to use since eJukebox is natively a 32-bit version, so on Windows Vista x64 and
Server 2008 x64 (as I'm using, but has the same kernel as Vista x64) this would incorrectly return C:\Program Files as opposed to C:\Program Files
(x86) - the correct file location for 32-bit applications running on 64-bit operating systems.
But that's not all that's incorrect with the full installation routine - album art that has not yet been downloaded does not show the default blank
album art but a red X in the top left hand corner indicating the image is unavailable.
I recommend the full installer is NOT USED AT ALL on the Beta version, but instead install the non-beta version and upgrade

Wanted to say thanks for what looks like the most useful addition I have seen in a while, APEV2 tag support.
The old trick to set compilations with ASNCOMP=1 does not seem to work with ID3V2 or APEV2. How are we supposed to tag an album as a compilation?
Update: I think the Compilation problem may have something to do with the album folder name being "Various Artists - Album Name" (Fixed album scroll
buttons too)

Audiosoft,
could you add "clear playlist" to the right-click menu of the playlist? This is a basic and regularly used feature as I see it. And it is a little
unhandy that one have to clear one and one artist as it is structured now.
I do know that this feature is located at the menu-button at the left of the playlist. However, I do think the most intuitive way of manipulating the
playlist, at least for simple tasks such as clearing the list, is through the right-click menu.
Others may disagree of course.
