Top Song, Albums, Artists Lists
How about adding a set of snaphot Top Songs, Artists, & Albums lists? What I mean by this is that the current Top lists on the eJ Home Page are
cumulative or running lists that keep track of listening habits for the entire life of eJukebox (or at least until the stats are cleared). What
I'd be interested in seeing is the current Top lists along with current & historical weekly, monthly, & yearly Top lists.
As examples, say I way to see the Top 20 songs for the week of March 16, 2003...or the Top 30 artists for the month of December 2002...or the Top 50
albums of 2002, etc.
Maybe something like this is too much for eJukebox & should be done outside of it with either an eJ plugin or with a database program like Access
or MySQL, etc. If this is the sentiment, then maybe you could supply an export of the recently played with a datestamp for each song. I feel that
since this list is already featured within eJ, why not extend the data with this idea? Sure looking at the recently played list is interesting, but
wouldn't looking at it through historical & current charts make it so much more fabulous?!?
So, what does everyone else think about this idea?
