wheelscrolling without a scrollbar

Is it possible to add mousewheelscrolling abilities to the playlist without adding a physical scrollbar?

A physical scollbar would probably clutter the playlist too much. But it would be so great to have some sort of scrolling, so one didn't have to use those famous switches to switch pages in a long playlist :)

I'm for it!

I haved already requested that, at the same time than the volume mousewheelscrolling in the NowPlaying panel, which is already very handy!

Now, only the playlist remain "un-mousewheelscrollable", it's a shame...
I agree, that would be better than the actual daunting switches... :)

I agree, this kind of goes along with my request regarding hotkeys for playlist scrolling. This would make things alot easer to control with a remote..

A hotkey would probably be nice. Then it would be possible to use remote sollutions like cell phones and remote controllers with the playlist as you describe.

I'm using a powerful program named strokeit which let's the user program mouse geastures (seen in the (norwegian) Internet browser Opera for instance) for different applications. It requires that a hotkey is assigned for the function that should be executed. It would be practical to use strokeit to flip pages in the playlist.

I do think that the flip page system is cool for touchscreen systems. But, on a regular PC's with keyboard/mouse input it feels a little inconvenient.

Today users often take for granted that all lists can be scrolled up and down with the mousewheel. Quite a few tries this in the playlist from intution, before one tells them that they have to use the flips on the bottom of the playlist instead, of course :)
