"EDV" for 800 x 600

This was already discussed in the "General Section", but I just wanted to make sure it doesn't get lost, so I am also putting it here in the Requested Features: Our big hope for an 800 x 600 panel that includes the display of the star rating/popularity bars on the tracklist view.

I would love to see the EDV for 800x600 as well, please.

Thanks,
Steve

Don't worry guys, I think that must be in the works! :)

Audiosoft,

Once you will have finished the 800x600 songlist EDV, do you plan to also keep the classic layout, or the new "minimal" EDV will supplant it definitively?

I would be interested if you could keep both.
Because I'm afraid that in case of use of large fonts, necessary for HTPC, the decreased lines will be a bit too short for a nice HTPC looking. I wouldn't that the songs be pulled to pieces!

Thanks.

Audiosoft,

you never commented on this request other than "maybe sometime in the future" in an early EDV Thread.

Can we hope for this feature to be implemented in a "not too distant" future?

Yes, please don't forget about us poor 800x600 users, Audiosoft!:D It would make my life complete. Well, almost. The Red Sox winning the World Series would help, too.:(

Thanks,
Steve

:( Another release (3.6) goes by...and again no sign of this feature. Since Audiosoft never commented on our request, I am now giving up hope that this will ever be implemented. :(

Without it, the rating feature is almost useless (why put in all the effort to rate songs if you cannot select songs by rating).

Frustrating...:(:(:(

you know I was thinking this morning about the updates from version to version - and it occured to me just how many requested features we ejukebox junkies ask for from month to month - especially for what i'm assuming is a small programming team. I thought it would be a good idea if audiosoft were to have a forum sticky (not necessarily something users could respond to) listing those features that they eventually planned to implement, even if it meant they wouldn't be there for the next version. This way, we users would be assured that it would come eventually - and audiosoft and the forums wouldn't be swamped by us asking about something over and over to ensure that it made it on their list.

What do you guys think about this idea?

Demnos,

I can't make any promises... but adding the stars to the non-EDV view songlist still has a very good possibility of getting in before the year it out. As does adding stars for the currently playing song in eJukebox2Web2's interface.

Ok, thanks. I don't mind *when* it comes, but until your posting I couldn't count on it coming at all. Now at least I know that my rating efforts are not in vain. Thanks for setting this straight!

Just wondering, as 9 months have passed since the initial request, if this item is still considered to be "on the list" or if it was meanwhile dropped. Still hoping to be able to actually use ratings one day...

I'll bump this request up, too.

Thanks for the reminder, Demnos.

Demnos,

You will finally get your wish in eJukebox v3.88. That version will have a display option to: "Show Star Ratings in Songlist when not in EDV".
