Look! It's for your eJukebox HTPC system...

Hi,
Today I think to o.s. it's a pity the text displayed by eJukebox on my TV screen doesn't be so legible than using others HTPC programs even using the large font size. So I have modified the file songlist-large.dis. I think it is better than the original so I leave it here, in case someone be interested.

Thanks.

Pirk,

Thank you very much for this. This is great!!! The song lists on the right-hand side of eJ are now visible on my 27" TV from my Lazyboy chair that's 12 feet away. Now, do you have any tricks up your sleeve for fixing the left-hand side of eJ? The font there is much smaller than the right-hand side of eJ. The thing is, I don't see a .dis file to handle that. Any ideas?

Thanks!
Steve

Steve,
I'm very happy you appreciate my work. Thank you for use it.

Concerning the playlist panel, YES of course I can fix it to. But as it's more difficult to do, you understand I can't do this for free. So if you send me... $10 I will e-mail you how to fix the playlist font size. Be careful limited time offer: only $8.95! Unfortunatly I joke(!), I have no idea on how to do this because as you say there is no playlist.dis file! The only way I see is when Audiosoft team will come back from their quite merited summer vacation, we will kindly request to them to do this. What do you think?

Thanks;)

Ha! You French people sure have a sense of humor!!:D Yes, I would love it if Audiosoft gave us a larger font option for the left side of eJ. But, alas, I have requested this feature several times before without a response. That's why I mentioned the possibility of creating an SDK for eJ.

Before eJ can be considered a viable "must have" HTPC app, its interface needs to legible from a distance. Your .dis file alteration has brought eJ so much closer to fulfilling my HTPC jukebox dreams.

Thanks again,
Steve

P.S.: Pirk, have you heard that new Weird Al song "Genius in France"? Just wondering what you think of it.:D

I think, in the short term, if I was a programmer and I have to choose between allow the user to alter the playlist appearance and to make SDK capabalities for the entire program, I will choose the first solution because that can cheaply give to eJukebox the look of an HTPC app and like you say Steve, get a lot of new HTPC lovers to BUY my program! But I am not a programmer at Audiosoft. Not yet! I only hope the success of my songlist alteration get them to finally do this.

P.S.: Oh yes! I can hear that song... somewhere in the New Hampshire!:D and I also hear another Weird Al song "American dream". Ha, I am so envious!;)

Thanks.

Here is my HTPC Skin updated for the EDV! (eJ v3.4)

I've also added a background image for the album column.

I hope you will enjoy using it!

PS: Rename the file in .rar in order to open it using Winrar! The procedure is odd, but it's not my fault...

Hey Pirk, if it's not too much trouble, could you add a picture of your skin to this post so that people can see what they might be downloading?

Thanks!

Thanks, Pirk! Looks great!! It's going to make a nice alternative skin for us HTPC users. BTW, what are those short little blue lines in the ratings column?

The blue lines indicates how many times the song has been played. A popularity meter, i guess one could call it.

I agree with Stsirois, your skin looks good, Pirk!

Good work.
Now if we could make the A-Z bar letters bigger for touch-screen use I would be very happy :)

ScAtMaN,

Some things that can help with a-z on touchscreen ...
When you enable the Scroll Buttons under the Display tab the a-z letters double in width when the artist list is visible. Also you can drag the larger selected a-z bar letter up and down instead of clicking on the smaller letters.
