Multiple databases

Hello,

I'm looking for new meedia software. Requirements:
- touchscreen, ok
- video and audio, ok (?)
- multiple databases, no go (?)

Let me explain my multiple database system. I have various folders like:
- music
- music classical
- music kids
- video
- video kids
- video music

I would like to have diffent databases for each category. ans a main menu to slect a database ( I don't want to select on genre, it is not good enough) Can I have multiple databases with this program?

Currently you can setup multiple databases by installing eJukebox multiple times into different folders. i.e. C:\Program Files\eJukebox\ C:\Program Files\eJukebox2\

If you register eJukebox once all the different installation folders will automatically carry the same license. That will allow you to setup a separate database for each installation. Then you can create shortcuts to the different installations and label them 'video music', 'video kids ', etc. The only thing is you will need to to refresh the artistlist and albumlist each time you start a different eJukebox installation because eJukebox currently loads up the last cached lists created on the system and not the particular database. I will try to get that fixed in the next update so that you no longer have to refresh the lists after switching to different installations.

BTW I do like the idea of a menu to create/select different databases from a single installation. I will try to get that into a future eJukebox update. Then you would be able to migrate the different installation databases into a single installation.

That's good news Audiosoft!

maybe, I'm glad you succeed in bringing out this very old request: I agree with you, that will be very handy! ;)

Thanks.

I like the idea to, as it would be nice to have the videos totally separate from my normal database.
