Is this possible?

I am looking for a program that will look at all of my MP3's individually and then search for combinations that will make up compilation or best of albums.

It would also be nice if you only needed to have a song stored once (or once for each version if you wished) and for the albums to be created from the same files. This would save me an enormous amount of hard drive space.

I understand the ejukebox would probably not recognise albums if this was possible but I am sure that there would be a way around that as well.

Just a thought. What do you think?

Hi Pirk,

I know that you have far more songs than me. So I am sure that you could boost your album numbers if it was possiblem, without adding more songs.

Yeah, maybe I could increase my album numbers creating some compilations.. But eJukebox already do that, isn't it? If you don't edit your "album" tags yourself!

Sure that I have many duplicate songs. I haved already thought to the idea of attaching a song to several albums in the past.. when I was quite limited in drive space. But since there are very large disks.. I don't really care.

Also just a note... the sound of the same song can be different between compilations. This is due to mastering and other facets of post-production. If one song was pulled from a different compilation of album you could easily end up with sonic differences and a non-cohesive sounding album.

All right CiXel, we are not album producers.. Even if that can be tempting! Isn't it VWBUG? ;)

Yeah That is why I added the part about versions of songs. To be honest I rarely listen to whole albums anyway, so the difference in sounds between different versions or mixes would be of little concern to me.

Pirk take a look at my friends band at www.myspace.com/wilburnsilver
and let me know what you think. They are possibly getting signed by a company from the Netherlands.

Great VWBUG! So you mix with the Wilburnsilver band..
Well Kiss Lorna for me! :D

PS: I have a friend who can play drums if you want? ;) He was the drummer of a local rock band. The singer is a Englishman!
