Ejukebox not reading tags correctly

Hey Everyone!

Got another wierd issue i need assistance with. So ive gone ahead and made sure all 38,000 (did some downsizing) of my mp3's are taged perfectly with Tag and Rename. It now seems that Ejukebox reads some of the files normally and others by what seems to be the filename. Let me explain. if I have a file named:

01 Transistor.mp3

and the id3 tag reads:
artist=311
album- Transistor
song= Transistor

but Ejukebox is displaying:
Album=01
Song=Transistor

After this i went ahead and changed the file names to look more like this:

311 - Transistor.mp3

Now ejukebox is giving me the correct ID3 tag info.

Where did i go wrong?

Same problem. I just inported some albums that I had just entered all the tag info for and all that was imported was the artist and song title.

Anyone have any insight on this? I don't want to import any more cd's until I have the tag issue resolved.

hmm..I know there was an issue with mp3's encoded with a particular version of tag & rename, but one can solve it by disabling or enabling unicoding or something. Not sure. Try to see if you find an option related to unicode in the tags and change the setting. Then retag your files and see if it has any effects.

I entered all the tag data manually using Winamp. For some reason EJ is not reading it correctly.

I would try to edit the same tags with tag and rename to see if it changes things.
