New "Play Mode" suggestions

I was thinking today that some date filters might be a convenience. Have the default behavior that dates don't matter, but have an option to allow filtering by last played, file creation, and date added to the DB--either with a specific date or a "delta" (days since) kind of formula.

The benefit of this is that it would allow a way to focus on playing "newer" songs, but at the same time keep the other filtering and randomization options in the Play Mode area.

I'd add versions of this to both the Popularity Mode and the Custom mode.

I think it's a good idea. That would give to eJukebox a kind of memory... Very interesting!

Also, random play.

Unless there is a random play feature I don't know about I have sometimes wished I could just start playing without having to create a playlist or selecting songs.

Rankled, you may want to try this if you haven't already :)

Push the 'options/playlist button'. Choose 'play mode' and then 'custom mode'. Choose 'title' from the drop down menu and leave the field blank. Then push the 'start now' button down in the right corner. Ejukebox should now randomly play songs from your entire collection of songs.

You can play around with the settings in the different play modes to make ej play music from specific genres, year, rating as well.

Hope this helps.
