WAV file support

Hi all. My question is whether uncompressed music is supported? I ask, because I am considering ripping my collection in uncompressed format - wav files. Can I still get album art and/or other info stored alongside the wav files?

Forgive me if this is a ridiculous question.

thanks, jim

Hi Jim!

I don't think it's a good idea...

Just a question: How many cds do you have in your collection?
Because if you rip your collection in a uncompressed format, i fear that you will need a lot of hard drives!! :D Don't you think?

Why dont you try the Wave Pack format. This compresses tracks down to 60% of their original size and is completely lossless (It decodes a bit for bit copy). It works with EJ but you must play each track individually because EJ does not support the .wv file ending in its updater.
