The HiFi Skin [IE9]
Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 04:14 AM

Requires EJukebox v5.64 or newer on Vista or Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 9 installed

Let me know what you think :D

Updated 5/27/2011
The HiFi skin is now included in the EJukebox installers.
No need to download the zip from this post
just update to EJukebox v5.64 and then access from Tools->Skin->A5 HiFi in EJukebox

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 04:14 AM

...includes moving video backgrounds on all the lists

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 09:21 AM

wow! seems to be Amazing! :o

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 09:24 AM

thanks Pirk. i think it is much better than YellowJacket ;)

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 10:15 AM

one thing i just noticed: your capture is 1600px width, and it seems this is the songlist which is stretched instead of just now playing enlarged as before? how does it work? a stretching function is applied to the songlist when the screen width is > to 1280? or you just managed your skin well!? interesting!

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 07:03 PM

that is the WIDE option on the EDV button
It stretches the NORMAL size top/header graphics on the right side. it resizes my songlist well since is mostly css and not images

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 07:13 PM

ah.. and i suppose this "wide" option on the edv button only appears for the screens >1280?

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 07:44 PM

i thought it was like 1440 but it says >=1600 on the forum....i will check the code when i boot XP to see for sure. the idea was so EJ could look allot better at 1080p with existing skins. plus you get an extra cover per row in the Album List and NetRelated thumbnails. don't forget the original wide checkbox option as well which shifts the artist list to the left or right.

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 07:59 PM

ok so i can't have this option on my 1280 screen, even if i reduce the now playing panel manually.

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 08:04 PM

that is right. there is no need for it to show since the added width would make the left size invisible.

whenever you post your skin i will post a 1600 screen for you to see. it should stretch almost everything in the 1280 skin automatically...except you may want to make any background image on the songlist .titles wider. Wide adds about 440 pixels in width to the entire songlist/album list

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 08:21 PM

well ok, maybe a little wider songlist could be interesting for me in 1280 when i reduce the artist list:

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 08:24 PM

see that blue gap is only 172pixels
WIDE adds well over 400

maybe does your display driver allow you to display resolutions above 1280 in a panning mode?

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 08:33 PM

ah a panning mode! probably that would be a bit strange on use. i don't think it's possible on my current PC.

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 08:41 PM

i have seen it work. with panning the screen follows the mouse.
can't seem to find the option in Catalyst Control Center anymore...oh well.

thanks...i just noticed the NetRelated in 1280 right side only shows 2 thumbnails per row in HiFi skin :( need to fix

i just noticed the NetRelated in 1280 right side only shows 2 thumbnails per row in HiFi skin :( need to fix

i also noticed that compared to your beautiful screenshot! glad if you can add at least a row for 1280 screens.

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 08:55 PM

it can be fixed in the songlist.dis somewhere
i will work on it

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 09:09 PM

many thanks. your HiFi skin worth it! :o

Audiosoft - 5-26-2011 at 09:17 PM

glad you like it! the .zip in the first post now shows 3 tubes per row

Pirk - 5-26-2011 at 09:29 PM

Wonderful, well done!

Audiosoft - 5-27-2011 at 08:53 AM

just updated the zip and exe in the 3rd post
the exe saves CPU and the earth
the skin has numerous updates

i know it is slower than NeoBlues but still i think i will add HiFi to the installers for v5.64...and when IE9 is installed make HiFi the default skin

Pirk - 5-27-2011 at 09:38 AM

thanks for the updates. i think you are right your HiFi skin deserves to be the default skin!

mchawk - 5-28-2011 at 05:24 PM

Wow! Audiosoft! I like this one.
But it seems you need an actual PC (CPU) to run this smoothly... Nothing for Netbooks it seems.

Audiosoft - 5-28-2011 at 06:29 PM

Yes the video backgrounds require allot of cpu
want to add an option to flip them on and off
