Missing covers in win7

Audiosoft, since I installed ejukebox on win7 (64 bit), many album images are missing in ej! :o It's exactly the same music files than before (cover.jpg in each folder).. I just rebuilded from scratch. :(
Otherwise all is working better and faster in win7 than before in vista, maybe thanks to my new spinpoint F3!

Pirk make sure you install to C:\EJukebox and not under Program Files.
Also right click and run as admin. btw will be testing on Win7 final this week.

Audiosoft, I already installed in C:\EJukebox. run as admin: same problem.. I'm trying to rebuild from scratch as admin! who knows..
Win7 Home Premium still works great for me in 64 bit, but most applications are still running in 32bit mode... maybe you could bring EJukebox to 64 bit?!

PS: I just found something very suspect after my DB rebuild, smelling like a Win7 Specific bug or maybe a 1TB Disc bug? or something else I don't see.. Open your ears:
In A-Z order, from "10.000 Maniacs" to "Chelon" all the album images are displayed 100% good, but after this artist until "ZZ Top", 100% of the album images are MISSING! :o
It sounds like if there was a image # limit in win7! only in 64 bit? I hope not!!

Pirk,

I have been testing on Win7 final and cover jpgs work good here.
How many albums in your db? How big is your ejuke.asn?
Have you tried a normal shutdown so that EJ optimizes and shrinks your DB?

Audiosoft, my db is not bigger than before. Yesterday I even stopped the file scanning around 50% since I noticed that none Image is loaded beyond 12500 files..
Today I just tried to add new files to the db, but the update manager has suddenly hanged (cf screenshot) while loading media file info:

Maybe that was a bad idea to install win7 64 bit? I hope there is no 16 bit code in ejukebox..

current db size: 593 Mb after a normal shutdown. 39601 files in the homeview stats.

I said none image is loaded after "Chelon" artist, but it's not totally true: sometimes a lonely album image (artist: Mano Negra on the screenshot) show up good, but Only in the Shelf 3D. Weird..

album list on Chelon artist. everything is Good Before Chelon, but almost all images are missing after this artist name.

Note the text on the albumlist buttons is also missing!

Audiosoft, 531 Gb free
while rebuilding is already on letter E.. it seems that things work perfectly good with your new exe! I don't know what you have fixed (?), but I bet you touched the sensitive point!

PS: Win7 managed to launch 2 instances of eJukebox! Twice are working good! I think it's because I've named the alpha differently than ejukebox.exe. Interesting! :)

rebuilding is almost finished.. I took another interesting screenshot: I reassure you, that was furtive. I don't always have these additional miniatures!

Audiosoft, the alpha is 100% working, now all my album images are perfectly displayed everywhere in EJukebox. Thanks a lot, you are the Best!

What have you fixed? Something related to my 1TB disc?

Glad that fix it! Enabled a few compile options for more error checking/correction. Will keep compiling the exe like this as it makes it more stable.

btw its pretty amazing to run Win7 on an old box and be told you can't run Aero desktop because your video chip does not support transparency and still EJ can run with its alpha transparent png elements just fine.

also I see your PNGs in the task switcher. That's not like that all the time right? Normally you only see 1 with part of EJ screen area?

5.0.0.8 is up! Will keep compiling the exe like this as it makes it more stable.

ah ok.. probably it's more stable, however unfortunatly I already noticed the comeback of furtive white pages everywhere on ejukebox.. well I guess it's not easy to handle goat and cabbage!

Thanks.

EDIT: about furtive white pages, well it's not all the time. currently they are totally gone again with v5.0.0.8. Fine!

yep I already noticed that with Vista and also with the remote desktop: most limitations depending on windows versions are commercial, only commercial...

exactly, the task switcher works good with ejukebox! I seen the additionnal PNGs only once.. no problem.
