Here is my eJ Crimson skin, Version 3!

In this new version I've improved the Artist list and the Songlist, in particular..
Don't forget that you still have 3 different appearances for the songlist: Right click on it -> Skin/Font size..

List of changes since version 2:
-New songlist Headers
-Replaced all the GIF by transparent PNG graphics, for a better quality!
-New transparent songlist bottom and background images
-Modified the song titles arrangement..
-New Artistlist background image (CDs)
-Improved the Artistlist Letter tabs.

NB: This skin requires Internet Explorer 7 for transparency effects.. but it can also works with IE6!

To install: Download the attached zip file (do not extract) and save the file to Crogram FileseJukeboxSkinseJ_Crimson3.zip. Then activate eJ_Crimson3 on the Skins section of the Tools button menu in eJukebox.

Pirk, I found a little bug in your latest playlist.dis that is making the up next song text invisible.

It is an easy fix...you just need to add an "s" and change
font-style: italic;
to
font-style: italics;

Ah really? A "s" to italic? Well OK, I will add it.

ah...you are right Pirk. Italic is the correct way. Still, for some reason, i am not getting any text under upnext when you use italic with your skin. Which is odd because it used to work fine before your latest skin update. I will look into this more when I get a chance

Maybe you just miss the "SEGOE UI Italic.TTF" and/or the "SEGOE UIZ Bold Italic.TTF" font files in your eJ Crimson folder? Although these fonts are included in my skin.. Maybe the font version I've included are "not good" for your PC?
Note that I've not changed anything in the playlist or fonts since the last version of my skin.

En effet y'a plusieurs problèmes sur ton screenshot! D'abord qu'elle est ta résolution d'écran??

Bon le plus simple pour que le skin se répartisse sur tout l'écran c'est que tu cliques sur le carré tout en haut à droite de la fenêtre eJukebox, et tu choisi "maximize" dans le menu. Le logo ejukebox devrait alors aussi apparaitre sur la page "Home".
Si après ça tu n'a tjrs pas le logo et que la playlist est tjrs réduite: essai de cliquer sur la petite flêche horizontale en haut à droite de l'écran pour avoir le logo ejukebox. Pour la playlist, tu peux l'agrandir en tirant vers le haut la barre noire horizontale juste sous les boutons play/pause..
Mais pour avoir toutes les parties agrandies en même temps il faut une résolution d'au moins 1152x864, ou 1280x1024 comme sur mes screenshots.. Essai de passer à une résolution supérieure si ton écran le supporte..

Aussi: mon skin marche mieux (transparence..) avec Internet Explorer 7. Essai de l'intaller si tu peux.. c'est en download gratuit chez microsoft!

Bon donc le probleme est resolu a 50% .Pour la fenetre de la play liste c'est ok en changeant la resolution d 'ecran (1280x1024) mais pour le logo nada rien y fait ensuivant tes instructions ...
Si t as d autres propositions elles seront le bienvenues :-)

ben si t'es maintenant en 1280x1024 devrait pas y avoir de problème, puisque c'est la résolution que j'utilise..
Quoi de mieux? T'as bien retéléchargé mon skin? le logo n'y était pas avant le 12 juin.. sinon je vois pas autre chose!

EDIT: Ah si, le logo apparait uniquement quand la liste d'artistes est réduite ou fermée! et ceci dans n'importe quelle résolution..

En tout cas sur ton 1er screenshot ce n'est PAS la dernière version de mon skin: la liste alphabétique a-z doit avoir les boutons noirs complètement lisses..

Après avoir retéléchargé mon skin faut le mettre dans le répertoire "skins" ET le resélectionner dans le menu eJukebox.

bon j ai bien suivi toutes tes instructions une nouvelle fois .
j ai retelecharge le skin (celui qui se trouve en haut de page juste endessous de ton 1er screenshoot ) tout est bien en place et selectionne comme il faut mais rien de nouveau ...
ensuite j ai installe IE7 et là en homme page j ai le message suivant "incompatible IE7 setting detected "
j ai clique sur l endroit indique pour y remedier mais là comme les instructions sont en anglais ,je seche completement..
Voila ou jen suis pour le moment ........

j ai installe EJ ailleurs que C: sur un autre disque dur peu etre est ce une importance quelquonque ?

ok, déjà t'as bien téléchargé le bon skin!
si t'as mis ie7, c'est très bien aussi!
pour le problème de comptatibilité ie7:
1) ouvre le menu outils de ie7
2) choisi "Options Internet"
3) sèlectionne l'onglet "sécurité"
4) clique le bouton "personnaliser le niveau"
5) faire défiler l'ascenseur jusqu'en bas
6) remonter l'ascenceur d'un centimètre
7) Activer l'option: "Autoriser mise à jour barre d'état via script".
8) Clique sur OK, puis encore sur OK.
L'avertissement dans ejukebox doit disparaitre en cliquant sur "Home" à nouveau.

Si t'as tjrs pas le fameux logo essai de fermer et relancer eJukebox..

Par contre dans le menu des skins je me retrouve avec 2 fichiers un avec 3 et lautre 32 .

pour 32 et 3.. c pas grave, mais tu peux effacer le fichier eJ_Crimson3.zip si tu veux n'avoir qu'une seule version.

bon la seule chose que j aime pas trop dans ton skin c'est dans longlet artiste plus precisement dans la liste , ceux sont les petits logos devant les noms.
Pour differencier les artistes j aurai plutot intercale 2couleurs ( rouge et noir par ex ou rouge te bleu ) et j aurai pris une 3e couleur pour les lettres alphabetique ( jaune ou autre couleur plus claire que celles des 2 precedement citees)

Sinon serait il faisable pour les prochaines versions de ton skin d inserer un ecran de veille ayant comme motif principal une pochette grand format ?
Dans le cas ou ca serait faisable d y mettre l option suivante en laissant l utilisateur de choisir sa pochette ou alors d afficher la pochette du titre ou de l album lu par le lecteur...
Voila c'est tout pour le moment pour les idees (bonnes ou mauvaises lol )

oui c'est deja beaucoup mieux :-)
surtout au niveau des lettres alphabetique par contre au niveau des artistes je ne sais pas s il serait mieux en plus du noir de rajoute 1 ou 2couleurs qui seraient repetitives pour bien dissocier et distinguer au premier coup d oeil les differents artistes.
Car là un fond tout noir demande un peu d attention bien les dicerner .

c est deja un peu mieux là mais ( et oui je suis un peu chiant lol )
En blanc c'est bon mais une autre couleur serait peut etre plus judicieuse puisque le blanc est deja utilise pour les noms des titres .
Donc faudrait elimine aussi le jaune car il est egalement utilise dans l onglet rouge .
Peut etre un vert claire ou un bleu turquoise irait bien par contre si tu pouvais essayer d eclaircir plus le violet de facon que ca fasse moins pate.
Amon avis il faudrait soit utiser des couleurs le plus claire possible ou dans des couleurs plus foncees mais a condition quelles soient bien tranchantes.
Voila a toi de faire des testes avec les couleurs qui te sembleront le plus adequate...
Mais a comparer a l ancien modele je prefere deja nettement celui ci !!

P.s
Au point de vue des couleurs est ce possible de faire une option afin de laisser le choix a l utilisateur ?

tout compte fait je viens de recomparer tes 2screenshots et peut etre qu une seule couleur irait pour les artistes mais a condition que ce soit une couleur ( claire je pense )non deja utilisee dans ton skin .
Car tout compte fait le blanc est pas si mal mais deja utilise.

C is already a little better there but (and yes I am a little shitting lol) In white it is good but another color would be can be more judicious since the white is already uses for the names of the titles. Thus would be necessary eliminates also the yellow because it is also uses in L mitre red. Can be a green clear or a turquoise blue would go well on the other hand if you could try D to clear up more the purple one of way that Ca makes less paste. Amon opinion it would be necessary is utiser colors clearest possible or in darker colors but has condition which are quite sharp. Veiled has you to make test with the colors which will seem to you most adequate… But has to compare has L old model I prefer that already clearly Ci!! Nice job with the latest update...it looks great!
The only thing is that I am still not able to see the Up Next text with your latest skin because there is something wrong with the SEGOE UI Italic.TTF file.

SEGOE UIZ Bold Italic.TTF and the others all work fine. It is only when I double-click SEGOE UI Italic.TTF it does not show the font preview correctly. This means that your Up Next song/artist text will be invisible for everyone that is not on Vista. There is probably a different font file that handles segoe ui with italics that you need to add to your skin.zip. Make sure when you double click the Italic.TTF you can see it correctly in the font preview dialog.

Ok thanks Audiosoft, I will re-upload my skin this evening with the "segoe ui" fonts I have on my Windows Vista install.. I hope that will fix the problem for non-Vista users.

I just noticed eJ_Crimson33 is missing a nocoversm.gif which is needed for the up next area when there is no album cover.
Since it is not in your skin yet...I sometimes see the missing image holder with the red x for the up next image.

Very impressive skin Pirk. However, I think it would be nice with a small "album seperator" in the songlist. This, so one easily can distinct albums from eachother. The albums kindof overlap a little too much, from my point of view.

I was never gone, just had to get hold of a laptop to run xp. Since my stationary computer is stuffed with crazy penguins. Now I build my ejukebox database from a linux server in the next room using samba and a router. It works like a charm :b

OK Fishy.. So now you can see a penguin from your window!

Yepp, I see a bunch of angry penguins through my vnc I am glad that there is a distance between me and them.

Hmm.. nasty animals!

Let us hope that the server is stable so I do not have to get close to them. They are furious

crlove reported an issue with 33's artist list and i noticed that the graphics and artistletter text was sometimes being aligned wrong.
the problem is you should not use "center" inside artistlist.dis under .Artistrow{ .Artistrow2{ or .ArtistLetter {
those elements must be left aligned and then use left padding to center them if you need to.

please add the following to your artistlist.dis file when you get a chance....

in .Artistrow{
background-position: left;

in .Artistrow2{
background-position: left;

in .ArtistLetter {
text-align: left;
padding-left: 57px;

Ah.. OK Audiosoft. I've changed things according to your advices.
Have you another solution for this other alignment problem (cf my screenshot) when scrollbars are used?
