AutoScroll and other Enhancements
Audiosoft - 7-10-2004 at 09:19 PM

Coming to eJukebox v3.90:

Album List AutoScroll:
Move mouse over the very bottom or top of the album list to smooth scroll in that direction at a constant rate until you move the mouse away from the top or botom. We are also working on AutoScroll for the Artist List and Song List.

eJukebox's blue Click Animation Effect gets new fading transparency and the ability to Skin the color of the effect.

I still like to see the posibility to have the ARTIST-ALBUM-SONG scroling across the screen with a configurable font/size :D.

Also coming to v3.90 is the ability to Pin the Album List bar postion so that it doesn't auto size - since you can now AutoScroll instead of using the scrollbar by simply putting your mouse over the top or bottom. AutoScroll will work on the Artist, Album, and Song List in v3.90. You can also double the AutoScroll Speed by holding down the Ctrl Key and/or the left mouse button.

Are you planning to assign any hot keys to the auto scroll function? That would be slick when using a remote control. The only other request currently on my mind is.

> A hot key for the word ‘Next’ under the up next window.
>Ability to change the font size on the album list.

Each new release is getting better and better. Keep up the good work!!

Ah ah... that remind me something...

I'm very happy to hear that you finally add a Pin function to the albumlist bar. I will appreciate it a lot! :D

After all even the oldest resquests can still serve... My intention is still to use it in order to keep precisely one row of albums, no more no less! I still don't like to see the albumlist bar jumping up and down... Maybe if a haved a very large screen, my opinion would be different:

I plan to buy a LCD screen...
If i revolve the screen in portrait mode, i think that would be fine for eJukebox (1024x1280); but will eJ accept a such screen size?

Here is a screenshot of the Album Bar under v3.90 with the Bitsumo v2 [Red] skin....

RE: Are you planning to assign any hot keys to the auto scroll function? That would be slick when using a remote control. The only other request currently on my mind is.

Well...for keyboard operation of the album and songlist you should use the <-- and --> keys to select the elements and in the process scroll down or up.

RE: A hot key for the word ‘Next’ under the up next window.

CTRL+A will work in v3.90 for clicking 'Next'.

You are correct, I was a little confused on what the auto scroll functionality meant but now I understand.

CRTL-A will work great,
:)

RE: Ability to change the font size on the album list.

You mean like this? This will be possible in v3.90 by editing the file named albumlistscroll.dis in the Skin

We are still working on the ability to change the album text font.

Pirk - 7-13-2004 at 07:38 PM

Hehe... ;)

It would just miss the same thing for the ALBUM NAMES too...

[edit]
... but i see it's planned...

Great! :)

Audiosoft - 7-13-2004 at 07:57 PM

Under v3.90 you will be able to change both the album text and the artist text for the skin...

Excellent, can’t wait…

Pirk - 7-13-2004 at 08:42 PM

Perfect!

Thanks for the quick update! (of your first albumlistscroll.dis posted here...)
You have fixed the bug there was at the end of the albumlist just before i report it! So, i spare you my screenshoot... :D It's a shame, it was very nice!

Audiosoft - 7-13-2004 at 08:52 PM

:D lol Pirk....as it turns out... it is not possible to change the album list font size before v3.90 ....that is unless you also wanted huge footer text at the bottom of the list ;)

Pirk - 7-13-2004 at 09:11 PM

Yes indeed... i'm not sure i want a so big font at the end! ;) well, maybe that could be useful, but... only for the newest users!! :D
