What about a CD Cover Online-Database?
Blitzfaktor - 1-11-2005 at 07:58 AM

Just an idea... why we don't organize a cd-cover onlinedatabase?
everyone can upload his own cover-images to an ftp account. every user work for other ones.
many user will profit from that service and it would push up eJukebox' desirability up one level, I think.

your opinions?

PS: eJukebox got a new member/user in switzerland ;)
In a few days our demo runs out.
We are a pub/bar near Zurich and changed automation software this days to eJukebox. We will order FOR SURE! :-)

ADD:

if you want, I can do some first steps.
I offer to configurate an online directory for all users.
But i do not have the possibility to let you get access to my ftp - the files have to be uploaded by myself :/

An open FTP site would be dangerous. I had a customer want to implement one and it was a disaster. Against my strong recommendation they not do it, we went ahead and created the open FTP site. Two weeks later, he called me up to delete the 2GB of [Censored] copied there by hackers. (Which I would not call hacking since it was wide open.)

If you do something like that I would sugest you have users submit images to you and make your FTP site read-only.

Plus, since most of these images are somewhat copyrighted, there might be some problems, there.

one problem is the ftp account thing - the other copyrights.
does somebody knows exactly infos about copyrights?
