eJukebox v3.994
Audiosoft - 1-14-2006 at 08:47 AM

Here is v3.994 Beta 1

Beta 1 Updates over v3.993:
-Improved the AlbumList's PageUp/Page down ability so that the album covers and artist names now align with the top of the display (instead of being clipped) when clicking the up and down ScrollButtons.
-Improved AlbumList <- -> keyboard shortcuts so that the albums align better.

Install by shutting down eJukebox and replacing attached file over your old C:Program FileseJukeboxejukebox.exe.

Thanks Audiosoft, but this beta version crash as soon as I click on the up and down ScrollButtons.

Audiosoft - 1-14-2006 at 11:26 AM

Pirk, I forgot to mention that you must refresh the album list after installing this beta in order for it to work correctly.

Pirk - 1-14-2006 at 11:32 AM

Ah OK! Thanks.

Pirk - 1-14-2006 at 11:49 AM

It works good now...

A suggestion:
Concerning the <- -> keyboard shortcuts, maybe you could do so that the focused album stays always centered on the screen, instead of the bottom/top?

New in Beta 2: :o
Major AutoList Builder / AutoPlay Update

-Create, Duplicate, Rename, and Delete AutoList Profiles
-AutoLists are automatically saved and the realtime match count is updated when changes are made in the AutoList Builder.
-Use an AutoList for Custom AutoPlay Mode to make eJukebox play songs that match your advanced criteria.

Let me know what you guys think. Also if anyone else gets the AutoList Builder to show up on Win2K let me know...I am still trying to figure out what is causing that problem for some users.

NOTE: Download Removed on v3.994 final's 2-2-06 release.

Install by shutting down eJukebox and replacing attached file over your old C:Program FileseJukeboxejukebox.exe.

Note: You may need to Refresh the album list once after installing the beta in order for the scroll buttons to work correctly.

Really great! This is powerful stuff! Just love being able to create autolist presets all over the place :)

Some suggestions:

- Resizeability of the different fields in the builder (genres, artists
etc).
- Drag and drop support in the builder.
- Maybe a way to choose several artist/genres without having to use shift or ctrl. Maybe by right clicking the respective artists/genres etc. (pretty much like it works in norton commander)
- Make saved presets more available, maybe accessable from the tools menu or from a drop down menu in the gui. Maybe even a new button named "presets" alongside "artists, albums, Genre"? Would be nice to be able to switch preset directly on the fly without having to access the options menu.
- Not related to the builder, but I think it could be a good idea to set albumimages in the albumlist to borderless by default in the next version. It looks great, but many users might never discover that this is possible.

Thanks for the beta, works great in Xp Sp2! You've done a great job on this one.

flummi - 1-23-2006 at 05:59 PM

It works fine for me (Win XP SP2).
I also would like to build autolist from my newest songs (something like: autolist from the last 200 newest songs in Genre rock). Is this possible?

And: I know you don't like wma, but I discovered napster ( I don't buy the music, I use the flatrate) and now I have to work with two music-software, is there a way to use the wma-tags in Ejukebox ?(winamp has no problems with the tags and plays the files fine), it will be fantastic for me if Ejukebox will read out the wma-tags.

thanks
flummi

Great feature indeed this AutoList Builder!! ;)
I just hope it will mix the selected songs more ramdomly than the previous autoplay mode, because the old method tended to anormally ignore a lot of songs...
You know I waited this improvement since a long time!

Thank you very much Audiosoft.

I also would be very interested by a such feature... I think it's the only one missing! :o

Otherwise, the new autolist builder seems to work perfectly! :)

And yes... ít's me again :D

Audiosoft,

Can't you have an option in the Autolist Builder that makes use of Predixis MusicMatgic ? (It's a plugin within Winamp and works verry well).

Audiosoft - 1-24-2006 at 08:48 PM

Glad you all like the new AutoList features. I will see what I can do about the improvement ideas.

Willum,

Sorry there is currently no way to integrate MusicMatgic. If you want you can hassle winamp in their forums to allow file Drag and Drop on the MusicMatgic song picks that way you will be able to drop them in eJukebox's playlist. ;)

Willum - 1-25-2006 at 04:29 AM

Hi Audiosoft,
Ok thnx, i will take a look to find a way the orther way around...

PS: I'm not intendded to 'hassle' in this and any other forum. I just wanted to see that at least there was thought about it. ;)
[Edit]Thnx Audiosoft, I needed the keywords Drag and Drop to find the solution.. http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=146119

Auto List Builder ... still not starting up. This never worked for me (and some others). Too bad, I would really like to try this out...

Krobar - 1-28-2006 at 02:59 PM

Works OK but the album list does not scroll as smoothly as 3.993, how can I speed up album list scrolling?

Audiosoft - 1-28-2006 at 10:43 PM

Krobar,

The scrolling has not changed from v3.93. The album list being loaded or other programs on your computer using CPU could slow it down. The only changes made to the scroll buttons is that you can now click them to page up and down in addition to the past hold to scroll functionality.

Krobar - 1-29-2006 at 11:46 AM

It might be because my Album list has grown. What is it that effects Album scrolling speed, is it pure CPU power?

BTW: I like the new feature, is there anyway to make it so all presses not just short presses will do that?
