Here is my new eJ Crimson skin version 4, called "Crimson Live"!

This time I've worked on the left panel. Some people said me that the Album cover is something essential that nothing should disturbe.. So I've tried to stage it, literally! I hope you will like the idea. Thus I've added a "new feature": A few spotlights behind a blue bar which slids on the bottom of the live stage. They light up the nowplaying Album which is now blended on the stage! You can enlarge it to see all the spotlights.. With some covers the effect produced can be really gripping!!
I've also improved the Up Next area and the Playlist..

Skin Updates:
08.22.2007:
-Improved the play controls environment:
Added a transparent graphic on top of the play controls (into album name zone).
New lighting effect over the album name.
New graphic for the Menu bar and the Playlist Header.
-Modified the Playlist Top background image: No more logo!
NB: If you still want the "EJ Logo & star" you just need to rename the file playlist.dis in playlist1.dis, then rename playlist2.dis in playlist.dis.
-New Playlist background image: The playlist is now translucent like the songlist!

NB: This skin requires Internet Explorer 7 for transparency effects.

To install: Download the attached zip file (do not extract) and save the file to Crogram FileseJukeboxSkinsCrimson Live.zip.

If ever you don't like the new "magnifying glass" effect on the Album cover because you think it's "too much", you can REVERSE the effect very easily: so the cover would show up as normal in first, then blend in the scene when you mouse over it.. Just tell me, and I will say you how to do, possibly!

One issue i noticed,
In playlist.dis add the following inside a:visited {} so that the text background always shows up:

Also please update this in colors.ini so that it looks ok during cover lookups :

Voila le ptit probleme que j ai depuis que j ai mis le nouveau skin concerne transviz .

Comme j ai elargie la fenetre du now playing pour avoir une pochette plus grande comme sur ton screenshot.
( cela dit en passant j adore cette nouvelle presentation )

Du coup j ai egalement reconfigure transviz en fonction d un espace plus grand .

Là pas de probleme tout marche bien , j ouvre , je ferme transviz rien a signaler.

Mais quand je ferme ej et a sa prochaine ouverture quand je lance transviz je le retrouve dans la barre de taches je vois a peinne le haut de transviz et je oblige de le reconfigurer achaque fois pour le moment .

Merci d une eventuelle reponse par avance ...

Pirk good evening

Veiled the ptit problem that J have since J put new the skin relates to transviz.

As J widened the window of the now playing to have a larger small pocket as on your screenshot.
(that known as while passing J adores this new presentation)

Blow J also have reconfigures transviz in function D a larger space.

There not of problem everything works well, J open, I close transviz nothing has to announce.

But when I close ej and its next opening has when I launch transviz I find it in the bar of spots I see has peinne the top of transviz and I oblige to reconfigure it achaque time for the moment.

Well OK for "a:visited" in the playlist.dis, but could you explain How and When this property is used in eJ? Because I see no difference when I change something in it??
Should I put the same in a:visited than in a:link :

Put the same in a:visited that is in a:link.
The EJ Star image is very nice! At first I could not see the artist-song text but then i added the background to a:visited. It needs to be the same in both to be reliable. Anyways... the text background in up next is still a little to similar to the text color making it hard to read. So maybe change the png or the text color to make it easier to read the artist-title first then decide if the EJ star image is best for up next.

J ai enlever et remis le nouveau skin et là ca a l air de fonctionner pour le moment.

OK so I will put the same..

I will try to put 2 colors more contrasted. Concerning the CD Star logo maybe I could remove the EJ chrome text and maybe the Star too so that the Up Next will look more simple? I don't know..

Also I like the effect on the 'now playing' but I can see how some people would find it difficult to read some covers because the edges are not visible....in nowplaying.dis maybe change it to

I like some of the changes from the previous ejcrimson.
I'm not so happy with the playlistbac.png. I'm not sure why you put the EJ and Star there. Depending on your screen size the star is under the artist/song title or over to the left like a one star rating.
I use your skin every day and don't plan on switching to anything else. Keep up the good work.

La ca va aussi surtout avec une pochette qui des couleurs tres claires donc ca provoque une belle harmonie;
Faudrait voir ce que ceja donne avec une autre pochette avec un fond sombre ou des couleurs vives ...

la j aime moins , essais la pochette de def leppard (Pyromania est meilleur comme album !! lol ) avec le fond que t avais pour calvin russell , je crois que ca devrait mieux donner ...

Y'a plein de combinaisons possibles pour le fond, et pour le moment j'arrête pas de changer.. J'avais mis un fond moins invasif parce qu'il y en a qui sont susceptibles pour les pochettes.. mais c'est sur que c'est moins spectaculaire!

y aurait il pas moyen de mettre 5 ou 6 fonds en option comme ca l utilisateur pourra en mettre un de son choix ou eventuellement de le laisser par defaut.?

ben ça n'importe qui peut changer ce qu'il veut: il suffit d'éditer le skin! De la à mettre plusieurs fonds dans le skin lui même ça va l'alourdir pour le téléchargement..

mais bon la demarche a suivre , j ouvre le fichier rar du skin et je fais un copie colle de l image dans le dossier ou a un endroit precis ?

ben pour l'utilisateur "lambda" c'est PAS très pratique! Pas besoin d'ouvrir le zip du skin, ejukebox l'a déjà ouvert. Tu cherches dans le dossier "Crogram FileseJukeboximagesCrimsonLive" le fichier "nowplaying.dis". Tu ouvres ce fichier avec le bloc-notes et tu cherches la partie DIV { ... } c'est là que tu dois changer le nom du fond. Il faut mettre l'image de fond dans ce répertoire aussi. Te voilà promu éditeur de skin!

Sinon plus simple: tu renommes juste l'image que je t'ai donnée en "nowplaydiv.png" et tu remplaces l'ancienne dans le dossier que je t'ai dis. Cà t'évites d'éditer le skin! Enfin je sais pas ce que ça va donner parce que j'ai aussi changé d'autres trucs..

I like the up next bar and album cover in screenshot2. The faded edges of the current crimsonlive is making some album art look weird. When do you think you will be giving us an update?

Nice skin Pirk! I especially like the EJ logo and star at the top of the playlist. I am noticing one problem though and I am not sure if it is caused by your skin or eJukebox 4.8. The data view area seems to be very small when not in EDV mode than it ever has before, so much that it even cuts off the top of your blue CD in the search area. I also notice yours is the same way from the screen shots. It just seems like the album cover now has to be monstrous to make eJukebox fill my screen when not in EDV mode. Is there any way to get this back to normal Pirk or Audiosoft to whoever this applies? The data view area the way it is now is just way to small and if I do enter EDV I am forced to have the album small. Thanks guys!

Edit... Never mind guys I figured it out. It appears that the display option for widescreen is enabled by default in 4.80 and I didn't realize it. Was that done on purpose Audiosoft?

je viens d installer la nouvelle version de ton skin et je n ai aucune modification .
J ai tjrs le meme graphisme au niveau de la playliste .

salut brice. Ca doit être parce que j'ai pas changé le nom du skin.. Normalement je pensai qu'eJukebox allait détecter la version la plus rescente. Au pire renomme le dernier zip en CrimsonLive2 par exemple.

Par contre petite chose a signaler , quand j ecoute un titre dont le nom du groupe ou du morceau joue est assez long on peut voir le deroulement continu du titre et du groupe .
Là c'est normal je pense mais, ca le fait uniquement au demarage d EJ .
Si j ecoute le memem titre ou un autre avec autant ou plus de caracteres par la suite le deroulement ne fonctionne plus ca reste statique .
Le fait que ce deroulement se produise qu ' demerage d ' EJ est ce normal ?

On the other hand small thing has to announce, when J listens to a title whose name of the group or piece cheek is rather long one can see the continuous course of the title and the group.
There it is normal I think but, Ca does it only with the demarage D EJ.
If J listens to the memem title or another with as much or more characters thereafter unfolding does not function any more Ca remains static.
The fact that this unfolding does occur that demerage EJ is this normal?

Si tu mets Title=1 le titre va défiler en continu, pareil pour Artist et Album..
Normalement pour le moment c'est réglé pour que ça défile uniquement qd les titres sont trop long.

Normally that should already work like that with my CrimsonLive skin: scrolling titles only if they don't fit.

No, until now there is no way to change the layout of the home view. But I think Audiosoft will allow that soon.

Downloaded the newest skin you've made and think that rather than having ej Crimson by pirk shown in the albumbkg that you may want to move it to the bottom of the playlist window instead .

I feel that it will show up a bit better . In the album list , the albums cover it up .

Also if there is a way to reduce the outside of the album popup window so its not so big , would be better . Sometimes less is more . For myself I edited the popup window so theres just a frame around the album .

Very Nice! Glad you like the suggestion. Just make sure that the main background is NOT set inside the albumscroll.dis body{. otherwise the user won't be able to change it or the background color from the album list options.

Ah OK.. So I'll only replace my previous albumlistbac.jpg in the skin folder.
I hope I'll find something else than the guitar for the new albumlist background. Unless that I manage to change the colors of the old background..

The headphone only appears when the "widescreen" option is checked: Options -> Display -> Widescreen. And you will need a 1024 pixels width screen at least.

Wow! Looks great Pirk! Especially those last 2 screenshots. I like those shapes allot!

Thank you Audiosoft. You know to make shapes is not my speciality.. I'm surprised by this result myself! Usually I only work on the matter, but when both are mixed that's the top! Of course you already know that.. when I see what you can do!!
So probably I will keep the album shapes in transparent white. In this way you can change the background picture without need to change the album frames.

As for me pirk , I feel that the theme backgrounds that you have been working on that the red tones are the best . The contrasts behind the albums with red tend to enhance the album covers . Not very many artists design albums with the color red so as for myself I'd keep the red theme going and put your created by pirk signature at the bottom of the playlist screen rather than on the background where it would be more visable .

These are the thoughts and ideas of my own . Keep the red themes . Blue backgrounds tend to blend in too much .
