run-time error after editing song
drewster98 - 4-26-2007 at 01:24 AM

I'm trying out Ejukebox for the first time and I really like it. I like it so much that I'm going to register it as long as I can fix this small problem first. Every time I go in and edit a song it will give me a run-time error when I close out of the editing. A box pops up saying "run-time error -2147319779 (8002801d)': Automation error; Library not registered". And when you close the error box it crashes the program. Whats my problem and how do I remedy the situation? I'm using V 4.55, WMP 10, Winamp 5.34. Thanks!

drewster98,

I haven't been able to reproduce this error yet but should be able to correct the problem in the next eJukebox version update.
You are only receiving the error when you click the x to close the editor correct? Also which version of Windows are you using?

Yeah, i only get the error when I hit the X. I'm using Windows XP SP2. Thanks!

Wow, its incredibly annoying that this bug occurs. If you can't recreate it, how will you be able to fix it by next update? I'm still trying to decide whether or not to purchase the software.

Fixed. What did you change? Looks like you just earned yourself a purchase from me. Thanks!

great! was pretty sure that would do the trick. Basically I just added some error handling to the functions that are run when you hit the editor close button. It was probably something with windows media player in the editor preview or the cover lookup feature trying to close when it was not open.
